Hi! My name is Roshan Promisel (in the middle) and I am from Potomac, MD which is right outside of Washington D.C.. I am double majoring in French and Global & International Studies at Penn State University. As a sophomore this past year, I have become as involved as possible within the Penn State community because I was very involved during High School. I am a sister of Phi Mu fraternity and through that, I met so many amazing people and got to partake in a ton of school events including Homecoming, THON, Relay For Life, and so much more! I have been a chair for several of our philanthropy events and am now one of the new THON chairs for 2015. THON was by far one of my favorite experiences here at Penn State. Through the canning trips, thonvelopes, and thonlines, I worked really hard to raise money for the kids. Being at THON for a majority of the time and final four hours for two years in a row, this taught me so much and made me realize that what Penn State does for the Four Diamonds Fund is truly incredible!
One of my favorite past times is traveling. As you will experience in my passion blogs, my parents gave my brother and I so many amazing opportunities to travel to places like Dubai, France, England, Switzerland, Israel, and many more. I work as a lifeguard, field hockey coach, and substitute teacher when I am home. Feel free to check out my resume!
