TED Talk
My TED Talk is about the evolution of Starbucks. I went into detail about the shifts they made to stay in the flow of the culture in that generation. I also spoke about how it changed from a grab-n-go coffee to a cafe where one could hang out and enjoy their drinks. I also brought up how it is now a trend to go to Starbucks and grab a coffee because it gives a sense of "fitting in" for some people. To end my talk, I gave the audience something that could relate to: Starbucks at Penn State. I brought up the long lines at the Hub for coffee, how students are remembered as usuals at the barista, and how it has become apart of students daily routines. After presenting my TED Talk and watching it, I noticed that I seemed a little nervous and stuttered here and there. I think that if I had a little more practice and had had more public speaking opportunities at the time, I would have done a little better.
